This handmade pendant was created by fusing 22kt gold onto sterling silver and incorporating a flush set yellow diamond.

The fusing process uses precise heat to bring the silver right to its melting point fusing the two metals together using no solder. The technique and aesthetic is inspired by fine Japanese Lacquer technique called Maki-e which uses gold powder sprinkled on a black lacquer background. This creates an ethereal, celestial aesthetic reminiscent of nebulas, clouds, and cosmic images. The use of simple geometric shapes offsets the organic pattern while reiterating the shapes found in the cosmos.

Variations in color and patterning are a beautiful, inherent part of Mokume Gane so photos are for illustration purposes.

50% deposit due at time of order. When your ring is complete we will send photos of your completed ring. The remaining 50% will be due prior to shipping.
